[NIV] The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.
[NASB] Now the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, while he was sitting at the tent door in the heat of the day.
[BBE] Now the Lord came to him by the holy tree of Mamre, when he was seated in the doorway of his tent in the middle of the day;
[KJV] And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
[ASV] And Jehovah appeared unto him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

[AMP] NOW THE Lord appeared to Abraham by the oaks or terebinths of Mamre; as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day,
[NKJ] Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.

[NIV] Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
[NASB] When he lifted up his eyes and looked, behold, three men were standing opposite him; and when he saw {them,} he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth,
[BBE] And lifting up his eyes, he saw three men before him; and seeing them, he went quickly to them from the door of the tent, and went down on his face to the earth;

[NIV] He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by.

[BBE] And said, My Lord, if now I have grace in your eyes, do not go away from your servant:
[KJV] And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

[NASB] and I will bring a piece of bread, that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant." And they said, "So do, as you have said."
[BBE] And let me get a bit of bread to keep up your strength, and after that you may go on your way: for this is why you have come to your servant. And they said, Let it be so.
[KJV] And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

[ESV] while I bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on--since you have come to your servant." So they said, "Do as you have said."
[MSG] I'll get some food to refresh you on your way, since your travels have brought you across my path." They said, "Certainly. Go ahead."
[AMP] And I will bring a morsel (mouthful) of bread to refresh and sustain your hearts before you go on further--for that is why you have come to your servant. And they replied, Do as you have said.
[NKJ] And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant." They said, "Do as you have said."

[BBE] Then Abraham went quickly into the tent, and said to Sarah, Get three measures of meal straight away and make cakes.
[KJV] And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

[AMP] So Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah and said, Quickly get ready three measures of fine meal, knead it, and bake cakes.

[BBE] And running to the herd, he took a young ox, soft and fat, and gave it to the servant and he quickly made it ready;
[KJV] And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

[NIV] Then the LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.
[NASB] He said, "I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.
[BBE] And he said, I will certainly come back to you in the spring, and Sarah your wife will have a son. And his words came to the ears of Sarah who was at the back of the tent-door.
[KJV] And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
[ASV] And he said, I will certainly return unto thee when the season cometh round; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.
[WEB] said, "I will certainly return to you when the season comes round. Behold, Sarah your wife will have a son." Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.
[YLT] he saith, `returning I return unto thee, about the time of life, and lo, to Sarah thy wife a son.'
[DARBY] he said, I will certainly return to thee at [this] time of the year, and behold, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah was listening at the tent-door, which was behind him.
[ESV] The LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him.
[MSG] One of them said, "I'm coming back about this time next year. When I arrive, your wife Sarah will have a son." Sarah was listening at the tent opening, just behind the man.
[AMP] [The Lord] said, I will surely return to you when the season comes round, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sarah was listening and heard it at the tent door which was behind Him.
[NKJ] And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)

[NASB] Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"
[BBE] And Sarah, laughing to herself, said, Now that I am used up am I still to have pleasure, my husband himself being old?
[KJV] Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
[ASV] And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
[WEB] laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"
[YLT] Abraham and Sarah [are] aged, entering into days -- the way of women hath ceased to be to Sarah;

[ESV] So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?"
[MSG] Sarah laughed within herself, "An old woman like me? Get pregnant? With this old man of a husband?"
[AMP] Therefore Sarah laughed to herself, saying, After I have become aged shall I have pleasure and delight, my lord (husband), being old also?
[NKJ] Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

[NASB] And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I indeed bear {a child,} when I am {so} old?'
[BBE] And the Lord said, Why was Sarah laughing and saying, Is it possible for me, being old, to give birth to a child?
[KJV] And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
[ASV] And Jehovah said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, who am old?
[WEB] said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Will I really bear a child, yet I am old?'
[YLT] Sarah laugheth in her heart, saying, `After I have waxed old I have had pleasure! -- my lord also [is] old!'
[DARBY] Jehovah said to Abraham, Why is this, that Sarah laughs, saying, Shall I indeed bear, when I am become old?
[ESV] The LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?'
[MSG] GOD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh saying, "Me? Have a baby? An old woman like me?'
[AMP] And the Lord asked Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I really bear a child when I am so old?
[NKJ] And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, "Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?'

[NIV] 'Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son."
[NASB] "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."
[BBE] Is there any wonder which the Lord is not able to do? At the time I said, in the spring, I will come back to you, and Sarah will have a child.
[KJV] Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

[NASB] "Suppose the fifty righteous are lacking five, will You destroy the whole city because of five?" And He said, "I will not destroy {it} if I find forty-five there."
[BBE] If by chance there are five less than fifty upright men, will you give up all the town to destruction because of these five? And he said, I will not give it to destruction if there are forty-five.
